3D VISUALIZATION OF CLUSTER DATA WITH
OVT

Multipoint measurements in space open a
question of data visualization because the
traditional techniques are not sufficient
for analyzing the new quality of data
provided by the four Cluster spacecraft.
We demonstrate how Cluster data can be
visualized in 3D with Orbit Visualization
Tool (OVT). The data can be plotted
along the orbit, on the fieldlines
crossed by the satellite, or on the ionospheric
footprints together with the global
magnetospheric structure. A possiblity to
interractively browse through the data
and see configuration of the cluster of
satellites, magnetic field topology, spin
axis orientation, etc., makes OVT a
powerfull tool for both studying and
presenting the data. The homepage for Orbit
